CONTESTS! CONTESTS? CONTESTS!

We love to have contests on our site and free giveaways. We love the interactions we get from our current customers and meeting new people is always a delight. We sponsored a contest for Homekeeters.com back in April and couldn't be more thrilled with the winner we got to meet. Michele Smith won $25 to spend in our online store. She sprinkled our designs all over her craft room, and we just had to share how awesome they look. Where Have We Been???

I know lately, Sweetums Signatures has become very "unconnected" with their customers and fans. Why may you ask? Well we've had a lot going on...

1. We built a new home and moved to our new home and new office!!! (how do people do this many times in their lives)
2. Increase in sales and control issues with hiring more help :) (we're a small business and torn between going bigger and staying small)
3. Spring has arrived! Outdoor signage, boats and race cars! (looking good for summer fun!)

.... but we're back on track and ready to get fired up about new products and new ideas.
First and foremost, our community and customers have been extremely understanding and patient as we've fallen behind so we want to thank you all! We're almost caught up and have soooo many new ideas we're just bursting to share. What's next? A Mother's Day contest for a $25 gift certificate to spend in our store. FREE DECALS!!! As many of you may know, we live in Ohio... where the seasons change and we can feel it! People around here either hate the change of seasons, or embrace it with decorating like crazy! In honor of those crazy "season decorators" out there, Sweetums Signatures will be giving away a FREE DECAL with every order ALL THE TIME! With each season brings the fitting decal to decorate with. If this is your first time applying decals, practice with your seasonal decal. Or, apply it to a picture frame or piece of wood and hang it every year. Whatever you decide, the FREE DECAL is yours for the season with every order.... we hope you enjoy!

Shipping Rates... Rise Again :(

The US Postal Service has raised their rates... once again. The price of a US stamp is now .45 and the rise has had a trickle affect on packages as well. If you've ever ordered from us before, you know that we use the Priority Mail Service offered by the post office. They offer the triangle tube boxes and upon shipment, customers generally receive their packages within 2-3 business days. The rates are calculated to us by distance and weight. We are in Ohio, so residents in neighboring states cost less to ship, but we've felt that $5.50 is a happy medium to make sure we break even on the shipping.

$5.50 is what you pay up until a $100 order; after that, we eat the shipping. We don't make any money on shipping. As of 1/22/12, the United States Postal Service has raised their rates again.... so in fact we are now losing money on shipping as a whole. BUT we are going to stand by our prices at $5.50 per order for now. With the struggling economy, we realize that $5.50 may be a lot to pay for an order that may only be $10. We love our customers and value your business. As prices rise, we're going to stay the same for as long as we can.

We will keep your wall decals and shipping prices at a affordable price and still give you a quality product. Thanks again for your business, we hope to see you back!

AND THE WINNER IS...................

We recently had a contest of Facebook that ended last night. Our customers were to post pictures of decals they purchased from us on their walls. Then, they were to tell us why that decal was perfect for their home. Boy was this a tuffy! We LOVED reading your stories and they truly touched our hearts. How wonderful is it to know that our work can have such meaning in peoples' homes!

With four voters we were neck and neck. A tie breaker opinion was needed who eventually declared Trela Knueven as the winner. Your story was tearful to us and we are so glad that your wish finally did come true. Congratulations Trela! We will be contacting you shortly with your $50 Gift Certificate information!
