Shipping Rates... Rise Again :(

The US Postal Service has raised their rates... once again. The price of a US stamp is now .45 and the rise has had a trickle affect on packages as well. If you've ever ordered from us before, you know that we use the Priority Mail Service offered by the post office. They offer the triangle tube boxes and upon shipment, customers generally receive their packages within 2-3 business days. The rates are calculated to us by distance and weight. We are in Ohio, so residents in neighboring states cost less to ship, but we've felt that $5.50 is a happy medium to make sure we break even on the shipping.

$5.50 is what you pay up until a $100 order; after that, we eat the shipping. We don't make any money on shipping. As of 1/22/12, the United States Postal Service has raised their rates again.... so in fact we are now losing money on shipping as a whole. BUT we are going to stand by our prices at $5.50 per order for now. With the struggling economy, we realize that $5.50 may be a lot to pay for an order that may only be $10. We love our customers and value your business. As prices rise, we're going to stay the same for as long as we can.

We will keep your wall decals and shipping prices at a affordable price and still give you a quality product. Thanks again for your business, we hope to see you back!

We recently had a contest of Facebook that ended last night. Our customers were to post pictures of decals they purchased from us on their walls. Then, they were to tell us why that decal was perfect for their home. Boy was this a tuffy! We LOVED reading your stories and they truly touched our hearts. How wonderful is it to know that our work can have such meaning in peoples' homes!

With four voters we were neck and neck. A tie breaker opinion was needed who eventually declared Trela Knueven as the winner. There is A LOT of hype put on this coming weekend for retailers and customers. We the retailer are expected to give you the customer the best possible deal this coming weekend.

Through the years, we've just been giving you answers case by case, but never posted anything for the general customer to see without the hassle of contacting us. Well, we finally added a "Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ" page that hopefully has all of the answers to anything you may want to know about wall decals. If however we've missed something, please comment to this post and let us know. We'll add your question to our page. Lately, we have had lots and lots of custom requests from our customers. We are so behind on them, who knows if we'll ever catch up! As we tune into our needs from our customers, custom requests tell us something: 1. Our customers are wanting more! They can't find it on our site so they dream it up themselves. We are trying diligently to get more product up on our site in between orders, but as many of you know we are a very small company and we get overwhelmed easy :)

As I write this, we only have 15 Holiday Greeting Card designs available, but we are so excited we just couldn't wait to share this with you! Our Photo Greeting Cards come with envelopes at an affordable price of only .40 each! What's different abour our cards? They are customizable in that you can decide how many photos you want on the design, and customize the message as well. We will customize your card specifically to your needs, without a maximum text limit. Your template is custom to your needs... not generic like the rest! So, if you didn’t know already by now, Sweetums Signatures is a small business in the heart of Attica, Ohio (a town of approx 900ish people). We are mostly web-based, but we do have local customers that we tailor to for home and business. As the owner and founder of Sweetums Signatures, I LOVE what I do! I thank the heavens daily that God smiled down on me with this opportunity That being said, I have business on the brain 90% of the time. I am constantly trying to keep my business going with reinventions, so that I can do this forever. I want our customers to be happy, and am very concerned with thoughts of what they might want and need. It has been my latest business brain perplexion (is that a word?)…
With hundreds and even thousands of custom order requests, we get it! We don’t have what you need! So here we go… into wee hours of the night. PRODUCT ! PRODUCT ! PRODUCT ! Traditionlally our market has been wall decals. We add warmth and love to your home. Our wall stickers will make you love, laugh, inspire and motivate.

Sweetums Signatures has been serving our local business community for years. We have just launched an addition to our site however, that allows our local customers to shop online! We’ve been trying to add to the “customization” feel of our website. We want customers to have the ability to add their personal touches to their home and especially their kids’ rooms. We’re especially trying to add to the custom children’s room / nursery decals. They make the perfect baby shower gift, especially when you know the theme of the room and the name of the upcoming miracle. Where We Came From...

Sweetums Signatures started by accident actually. I had a corporate position where I traveled constantly; I was never home. Liking my job, but miserably missing my home, I did a little soul searching and took a chance…
The word “entrepreneur” is a word we throw around lightly in my family. My mom owns a flower shoppe and my dad owns a tent and table rental business. My in-laws own a salon and an excavating company, and my husband races sprint cars. So naturally it’s in my blood.
When decals for my husband’s race car became too expensive, I purchased some equipment and started making them myself… I mean really, how hard could it be? From something that started so small, grew an addiction, a passion, and a way out of my corporate misery.
In January of 2007, Sweetums Signatures was born. I quit my corporate position soon after and never looked back. Since then we’ve added more help and more equipment. I work more then ever, but I absolutely love what I do, and I don’t travel away from home anymore. In October of 2010 my husband and I had our first child, a baby girl. I couldn’t imagine one day without her. I am so thankful for the many blessings in my life, and a true believer that everything really does happen for a reason.
